Homemade Rubber Ducky Birthday Cake

I made this Rubber Ducky cake for my daughter's 4th birthday. I made 2-9x13 cakes, one yellow and one chocolate. I printed a photo of a duck and after cooling the cakes in the refrigerator, I put the picture on top and cut out around it.

I frosted the whole cake to stick it all together. Then I colored the frosting and used a #16 star tip for the entire cake.

Hi I am only 16 and I am trying to make a cake for my niece's first birthday. Any help you can give me will help. How did you cut it, did you just put the two cakes next to each other and cut it then or what??? and how did you print the picture. Was the whole picture on one page or no??
