Homemade Safari Cake

I made this safari cake for my niece's 2nd birthday using Wilton's round cake pans and a tier kit. It's covered with butter-cream icing and accented with fondant.

The animals and palm tree leaves are also fondant. I used pretzel rods for the tree trunks. I made the animals several weeks ahead and constructed the cake the day of her party. She loved it!

Tier Kit

The tier kit is actually the animals. They're globes that you cover with fondant. Wilton has this cake on their site and it shows everything needed to make this cake. Good job on making it, very cute!!

I was wondering how the upper cakes is being supported? You mentioned you used a tier kit but I can't see the lower support? I can see the fondant animals but I can't see anything else. I would love to make a cake like this. This is beautiful!

Beautiful cake! Do you make them professionally? If not, you should definitely consider doing so!
