Homemade Saxophone Cake
I made this Saxophone Cake for a retirement celebration for my high school band director. He retired in 2009 after working 51 years in the HISD school district. When he was in college he was a saxophone player and that is why I made this replica as well as the band hat.
This cake was made from cake and marshmallow treats. I molded the sax and covered it in fondant. The sax rotated on the cake. The musical notes were made from fondant and dusted with rum. Needless to say it was a very good celebration.
