I made this Homemade Sesame Street Birthday Cake Design for my nephew’s 1st birthday. I got many different ideas from this site. There is 2 different pics of the cake because about 1 hour before the party I realized that the whole front of the cake had melted from the heat and sun. So I ran home and got a few things that I could use to try and fix it.
The cake is two 8in square strawberry supreme cakes stacked with strawberry icing in the middle. It was covered with buttercream icing. I got the toys for 1 dollar each at target.
The cupcakes are chocolate devils food cake with vanilla or buttercream icing in the middle and on top. I used the grass tip for the fur look for Elmo and cookie monster. I used mini chocolate chip ahoy for the cookie in the monsters mouth.
