Coolest Shark N Ocean Cake

My son wanted a Jaws theme party for his 11th birthday. I got the idea for my shark N ocean cake from some on-line pics, then baked two sheet cakes, 1/2 cake mix in a 1 quart bowl and the 1/2 as a dozen cupcakes.

I stacked the sheet cakes on top of one another then iced them in a pretty light blue frosting. I used star tip to edge the bottom, and green to pipe on the seaweed. I cut a slit in the bottom of the bowl cake and set it upon itself to one side, then iced the whole thing white to start then grey frosting on back section with the addition, some red frosting inside the mouth.

For the teeth I bought candy corn and cut the yellow off to shorten them then shoved the orange end into frosting and cake to expose mostly the white tips! The eyes are some crafts eyes I had from other projects, could add more black coloring and use icing eyes however.

For the waves around the shark breaking through and to give a wavy appearance on the top edge as well I used the light blue dabbed in some white icing, dipped a toothpick in blue coloring then swirled it through. DO NOT MIX! I used my spoon and kinda splattered it on. Looks okay!

I did try to make them look more wave like using a toothpick. I needed a different tip I guess. I added a few red gummy fish for the heck of it!
