Homemade Shrek Cake

I made this Shrek Cake for my husband's 30th birthday party. He is getting older but he is truly a kid at heart! We decided to do an "Ogre the hill" party with all Shrek related things. I made this cake using the frozen buttercream transfer method. It was my first time and I am fairly proud of it, however, the perfectionist in me says it could have been a lot better.

I'm sorry to say that I am the only one who got to see the cake in person. It was a surprise party and on the way to my mother's house to drop the cake off a deer ran out in front of me and my two little girls. I slammed on the brakes and barely missed the deer, but the cake didn't survive. All that time and effort for nothing. I was quite upset. I will definitely try the frozen buttercream transfer method again! It is very easy. Just make sure you have a small enough tip for the small outlines. If not I just used a plastic frosting bag and snipped the tip off really small.
