Homemade Skateboard Birthday Cake
I made this Skateboard birthday cake for my grandson's 9th birthday. The design is totally his. We had a consult and he gave me every detail down to the colors.
The wheels and trucks (not sure of spelling) are fondant with candy melt centers and sour straw candy for the axles. Icing is butter cream. Skateboard dude is fondant on candy melt skateboard. Stripes are air head candies cut and twisted. Sprinkles are candy discs. Decorated with candy wheels, skulls, skateboards and swirls made from candy melts.
The cake was Funfetti cake mix. Everything is edible except Happy Birthday Candles. Kids and adults loved it and all had Blue Smurf Smiles after eating.
