Homemade Skull Birthday Cake
I was trying to think of the perfect cake to do for my husband. I looked at a lot of the cakes on your website to try and get an idea. Well, they all were golf or something like that. So I thought of the things he was interested in and here is what I imagine. I looked up online how to draw flames and skulls, it took time but in the end it was worth it. Hope others like this Skull Birthday Cake as well.
I used chocolate cake for the bottom layer and cherry chip for the top layer with chocolate icing in the middle and cherry icing on the outside. Then I covered it in fondant. My boys 8 and 5 at the time asked me why I was making Daddy and pink cake, so thank goodness for the fondant because I didn’t think about the cherry frosting being pink, lol. Now my now-to-be 7 year old son wants the same cake for his birthday.
