Coolest Snow White Castle Birthday Cake Design

My daughter wanted a Snow White cake for her 4th birthday. I thought I would just do one of the doll cakes but as I was looking on line for ideas she saw the Snow White Castle Birthday Cake Design she wanted. I scaled it down a lot from what the picture was originally. It was way out of my league, all I had done before was a butterfly or Elmo, so I called in my sister in law for help.

We just used cake mix which I think was to soft so if you have a recipe or something of a cake that is a little firmer use it. I made the castle out of rice krispie treats, that was much easier then I thought it would of been. We used butter cream frosting and regular frosting you can buy in the store. Butter cream taste better though! Just a few things were fondant cause that stuff just does not taste the best.

If you plan to do this cake I would find some kind of support to put under the cupcakes on top, they started to collapse (however my daughters party was a day latter then planned due to a snow storm, so maybe it would of held up).

So this is the result, turned out pretty good I thought.
