Homemade Soccer Ball Cake

For my daughter's 6th birthday, she wanted a soccer ball cake. Her birthday is in October so it was perfect timing for the Fall soccer season. I used the 3D Wilton ball pan.
I had recently given birth to my third child and work full-time, I used a box cake.

I decorated it with red, white & blue frosting. I colored some coconut green to resemble grass and covered the bottom of a round tray. I sat the ball cake in the center of the grass.

Needless to say, she was "psyched" about her cake and the guests were impressed!
