The Soccer Jersey Cake is a basic and very simple vanilla white cake I found on the Internet. It was baked in a 9 x 13 pan and I cut out my own template for the jersey and applied it on top of the cake and cut out the shape.
The icing is some left over cream cheese icing that I used on a cake from the previous day. I looked on the Internet at different soccer jersey pictures – both cake and otherwise and then just came up with the one I made. I used a basic rubber spatula to apply the design to the cake and considering not using any fancy tools or anything I actually like how this turned out.
I did pipe on the lettering. The cake went over quite well. I can’t wait for my niece’s birthday next month so I can create something else.
