Homemade Sonic the Hedgehog Birthday Cake
My son recently discovered Sonic the Hedgehog, and it is currently THE thing with his friends. So, when he asked for a Sonic the Hedgehog Birthday Cake, I stepped up to the task.
The cake itself was crumb-coated in buttercream, then covered in white fondant and bordered in cream. The rings are made out of fondant, coloured buttercup yellow, and brushed with gold lustre dust. Sonic is also made out of fondant. I made a pattern for him, and rolled and cut out the individual coloured pieces and assembled them on the cake like a puzzle.
