Homemade Spider Man Birthday Cake
My daughter was turning 4 and I asked her what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday. She said, "I want you to make me a big Spida-man cake, momma." So I jumped into the journey of cake making. She told me that she wanted it big, so I searched and searched for a cake that I could draw inspiration. After searching all the Spiderman cakes on this site, I compiled some ideas and made her a Spider Man Birthday Cake.
The head of Spiderman is one giant rice krispie treat that I dyed red using Wilton gel food coloring. The bottom layer is fondant icing (which failed miserably) and the top layers are 2 different size round cakes. It took some time and preparation but the end result was great and everyone loved it, especially the birthday girl.
