Homemade Spiderman Cake

I made this Spiderman cake for my friend's son, who is a Spiderman fanatic! I thought I was going to just use a buttercream transfer but decided to carve and fondant the top.

The bottom is funfetti cake with cream cheese filling frosted with cream cheese as well; the top is only cake, not layers. I used the small ball pan and carved oval for the face.
I love to use fondant but is not the favorite, the kids really dig the frosting better.

Then again, is about the looks so I try to mixed them up!
