Homemade Sponge Bob Birthday Cake
For this homemade Sponge Bob birthday cake I started with the body as two 9x13 cakes. I used funfetti mix, because it's always a hit with kids, and it's easy. I put funfetti in between the layers and all around the cake. Then I did the body and decorations in fondant. After that I carved sleeves and pants and put fondant over those.
The arms and legs are just fondant molded around dowel rods. The kids at the party thought it was fun to run around with the arms and legs and pretend that they were their own (creepy, but fun).
