Homemade Sponge Bob Square Pants Cake
I got this idea from my son's T.V. tray. I planned this to be easy and inexpensive. The homemade Sponge Bob Square Pants cake was created using 2 boxes of Betty Crocker Devils Food stacked on top of each other. Always level the bottom cake so the top fits flat on top. Level the top of the cake if needed.
I refrigerated the cake over night to make the cake less crumbly. Also devils food tastes 10x's better cold than room temp. The filling was Betty Crocker Vanilla frosting from the tub. All frosting was from a tub.
I mixed my colors with Wilton Colouring Gel. I hand drew the face by looking at the t.v. tray but you could always photo copy and trace around if need be. The rest was just a matter of patience and a steady hand.
