Homemade Spongebob and Friends Birthday Cake
This Spongebob and Friends Birthday Cake was so much fun to make and only 2 cake mixes. I used a 13"x9" cake pan for the head and body, Swiss rolls for his pant legs and yellow licorice for his legs with black licorice and black frosting to make his shoes. His teeth are 2 small marshmallows. Black licorice for the belt and his hands are those "sticky throw them at the wall" things from Walmart. Pink licorice for the leashed Jellyfish! Plankton was cut using remaining cake from the jellyfish cake.
Jellyfish cake was just a round Pyrex cake baked from remaining cake mix I used to make the Patrick starfish cupcakes "Reynolds stars fun shapes foil cups". Sprinkles were used for the spots on Spongebob, Patrick's purple flowers on his pants and the spots on the jellyfish!
This cake was a super hit at the Party, in fact I have already had requests to make a cake for a friend's daughter. Hope you enjoy my inspired version of Spongebob and friends!
