Homemade Spongebob Birthday Cake

This Spongebob birthday cake is a homemade pound cake recipe, doubled. I baked two 9x13 cakes, cut 4 equal rectangles, and stacked them on top of each other using frosting and dowels.

I frosted with butter cream tinted yellow, and covered the cake with marshmallow fondant that I tinted with gel paste. Spongebob's arms, legs, and shoes are all sculpted from the fondant. I started late, so I didn't have time to make his clothes- which explains the underwear!
