Homemade Spongebob Cake

Homemade Spongebob Cake

This Spongebob Cake was two sheet cake mixes. The first was cut in half and held together with frosting and toothpicks to make Spongebob's body. The second was also cut in half.

The first half used to make his pants and the second cut up into circles for the hamburger. I used Rice Krispie bars to make the legs and arms (though I would use the big thick pretzels for the arms if I do this again as the rice krispie treats fell as the cake got to room temp and his arms "broke").

I made the eyes and teeth out of candy melts and the iced the whole cake with a mix of homemade buttercream and store bought icing.
