Homemade Star Wars Birthday Cake

Homemade Star Wars Birthday Cake

I made two tiers for this Star Wars Birthday Cake. I covered each tier with buttercream and trimmed it with buttercream. In order to create the fondant men I bought store bought fondant because it molds easier for me than my homemade recipe. I also used cookie markers for the details.

I started with the heads and rolled the shape. For the legs I used my fondant roller to create the Lego leg look by rolling it in the middle. Each man is held onto the cake with a tooth pick in the back. This cake was easier than I had anticipated, but I did start days before on the men.

My son loved his 7th birthday cake!

My son LOVES star wars, and this would be right up his alley! The little guys actually could pass for Lego star wars characters too! It looks great!
