I came here again to get ideas for my son’s favorite movie. But I ultimately came up with this Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Cake myself. He loved it and it all turned out great!
I used angel food cakes cut in half diagonally for the mountain sides and angel food cups stacked for the volcanoes all on top of 2 9×13 (or so) sized cakes. It was easier to pour the frosting over the most of it and it looks better that way. The orange frosting was hard to get real orange and I had to use a lot of coloring so if anyone has any suggestions for getting a good color with out a whole bottle of coloring, that would be great.
The sprinkles helped the lava look more “on fire”. I used cookie pieces for the boulders and crushed candy bar pieces for rocks. It turned out a real hit for my son’s 7th birthday!! I love coming here for ideas and to share what I’ve made. Thanks for having such a great site!
