Homemade Super Mario Birthday Cake

Homemade Super Mario Birthday Cake

My son's 4th Birthday and he is crazy about Super Mario Bros. The Super Mario Birthday Cake is made of Aldi Brand Chocolate Cake, covered in Frosting from Coles. Pipe is made out of same mix but cut to shape. Covered in dyed plastic icing. I just rolled in green dye into icing. I have used a skewer to help hold up pipe in position.

I have decorated the cake with little figurines I bought from ebay. Little figurines have toothpicks holding them in place.

I made the yellow stars with royal icing and I added yellow dye to these ones. The coins that I used are plastic ones I picked up from a discount store.

I had fun making this cake. My son didn't think it was a good idea to cut it!
