Homemade Teapot Cake
My friend wanted a teapot cake for a Mad Hatters Tea Party themed birthday so we Googled lots of pictures and this was the pattern she came up with. Bits of the pattern were fondant cut outs and bits were hand piping.
I used the Wilton Sports Ball Pan set and made the two halves in mud cake. I then joined them with chocolate ganache and covered the ball in butter cream icing and then fondant.
I made the spout and handle separately a week or two ahead of time and put toothpicks in the handle and a skewer in the spout (which I then trimmed to size later on)
I already had the silicone teacups so they came in very handy for this cake!
