I made this Teddy Bear Birthday Cake for my son’s 1st birthday, which was for a teddy bears picnic. I used a buttercake slab for the base and with a huge picture of ‘pookie’ (Garfields teddy) as a template I gently cut around making a bear shape.
I them iced it with butter cream and used a fork to give it a furry texture. His bow tie was made from licorice straps and mini M&Ms, his eyes made from Rollo chocolates and normal sized Smarties ( just stuck together with a little bit of buttercream) and white marshmallows in his paws.
The surrounding was just coconut dyed with green food colouring.
