Homemade Telephone Cake
I used an 13x9 pan and baked a store cake mix for this Telephone Cake. When cooled I cut the cake into about 3/4, one side being the address book and one being the phone. I cut the top off the address book part to even it out! I covered it in butter cream icing and then only covered the top with the fondant decorating it to match the address book the recipient of the cake owned.
I then noticed if I didn't even the other portion the cake it had the shape of the phone already, so I just copied the look of my phone and decorated with fondant. I painted the numbers and letters on with the black fondant gel (dye).
I did this cake cause my mother in law is known to always be on the phone! She loved it!
