Cool Homemade Tequila Cake

This is a Tequila cake that my sister asked me to make in the shape of a Jose Cuervo tequila bottle for a friend’s birthday. I used two boxes of butter yellow cake mix and baked it in one 13X9 rectangular pan (for the bottom of the bottle) and one bread loaf pan (for the neck).

The neck and top part of the bottle were trimmed to give the cake more of a bottle shape. The frosting was Wilton’s buttercream recipe that can be found on their website. I made a double batch to cover the cake with.

The writing was done with red and black gel tubes that you can find in the bakery section of any grocery store. The coins on the label are actually the chocolate coins that you can find in the bulk candy section.

It was surprisingly very easy to make and her friend loved it!
