Homemade Thomas The Train Birthday Cake

This Thomas The Train Birthday Cake was for my son's 3rd birthday. I used homemade marshmallow fondant for the train and red licorice for the outlining. I froze the cake overnight for the best carving.

I baked the cake in a large baking pan (not sure of exact size, but was bigger than 13x9). Cut the cake into thirds, then stacked them. After cake was frozen I carved the shape of Thomas. I used rice krispie treat for the face then covered it with fondant. I wrapped the candle in fondant and used it as a smokestack.

My son loved his cake! I had the best time making it.
