Homemade Thomas The Train Birthday Cake
This was a Thomas The Train Birthday Cake inspired by a Debbie Brown photo. We couldn't find the book anywhere. We made the face out of fondant and put a stick (the Wilton one's used for lollipops) about 10 days beforehand to give it lots of time to dry out. We used homemade Marshmallow fondant and the Wilton wedding cake recipe for the cake.
The cake recipe was firm and therefore easy to carve. We made the cake about 3 days beforehand and let it freeze before carving as well.
