Cool Homemade Tiki Cake

I did get the idea for this Tiki cake from this website. I wanted to show how cool mine came out. I did things a little different. I used 9 inch round pans. The cake was 6 layers high and every layer was a different type of chocolate and frosted in between. I leveled each layer so that I would be layering on flat surfaces.

I had to use 4 wooden dowel rods for support, which worked great. The teeth were made out of gum. On top of the cake I used big foam stickers that had a beach theme (they were on clearance at Hobby Lobby). I left the backing on and just kind of stuck them in the cake.

The “sand” was made of graham cracker crumbs. I used the icing in the aerosol cans to decorate. The cake was a big hit and everyone loved it!
