Tinkerbell Cake

This Tinkerbell cake is a direct steal from this site as you can see. I just wanted to show how super easy it is! This was my very first attempt at making a "real" cake. I used a Wilton barbie dress mold for the cake, and stuck a $7.00 Tink in the middle, her legs are wrapped in seran wrap, per other people's comments.

I wanted to use fondant, but my recipe for buttercream fondant did NOT work, next time I'll try MM fondant. The frosting is all butter cream except the flowers are royal frosting. I'm not sure what tips I used specifically, just a couple of star shaped ones, and then a larger petal one for the roses, and a small leaf tip for the smaller flowers and a larger leaf tip for the roses.

Like I said, this was my first time trying something like this, and all I did was go out and buy a Wilton 53 piece basic cake starter set, and read the book to learn how to do the basic drop flowers. I went to YouTube to learn how to do the roses. I did use the royal frosting for them, and I think they would have turned out better if I had thinned it out a bit, the petals are a bit thick.

Thank you, Thank you for the first submission that I copied!!

Beautiful!!

This is the most beautiful Tinkerbell "doll" cake on this site. And your a beginner? VERY talented. Some of the other doll cakes I've seen look disproportioned or just plain gaudy. Nice work!!
