Homemade Tinkerbell Cake
I made this Tinkerbell Cake for my daughter's second birthday. The design started from browsing coolest-birthday-cakes.com. I wanted to make the giant cupcake, but knew it would not feed everyone at the party. The Tinkerbell piece on top is a candle I found at party plus. I added the present candle because Jaq is two.
This was my first time utilizing a fondant style icing. I found a recipe for rolled buttercream frosting online. Great recipe, easy to handle, nice finish! However, my husband could not find butter flavoring at the store, so he came home with butter flavored Crisco. Don't do it!
