Homemade Tinkerbell Doll Cake
I made this homemade Tinkerbell Doll cake for my friend's daughter, Ariana, 5yrs birthday. The bottom cake is yellow cake (out of scratch recipe) with non-dairy whipped cream and canned pineapple filling (one layer only).
The doll itself is all chocolate cake (out of scratch) with no fillings. It was better not to cut and use fillings for the doll because it couldn't keep it's shape as firm as is. The decoration is all green, white and pink home-made fondant with buttercream as crumb coat. The waste line and cakes lining are also whipped cream piped around.
I used lots of pink because Ariana loves pink :-) I bought the fairies from Toy's r Us and glued them to the cake using whipped cream. She just loved her homemade Tinkerbell doll cake!
