Homemade Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake

I found a good video on youtube to learn how to cut and shape this Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake. I used box cake mix to save time, money and energy but made my own buttercream and marshmallow fondant, which was much harder to get smooth and perfect than regular fondant (for me anyway) but was pretty tasty.

The toppers are made from bakeable clay, as it is so humid the fondant ones I made would NOT harden. This took forever to make. Frost and decorate and ended up being really heavy. I do not recommend this to anyone who has to make a cake with small kids at home, probably took me like 12 hours over a few days.
