Coolest Toy Story Surprise Cake

I NAMED THIS CAKE A SURPRISE CAKE BECAUSE I AM NOT A COOKING TYPE OR BAKING. WHAT ALLOWED ME TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS CAKE IS A LOT OF PRAYER AND LOTS OF RESEARCH. I GOT SOME IDEAS FROM THIS CITE AS WELL AS YOUTUBE AND OTHER SOURCES. OK SO HERE IS WHAT I DID….

I DECORATED IT USING MARSHMALLOW FONDANT THAT I DIED BLUE. MY SON PICKED OUT THE YELLOW STARS FROM SOME DECORATING CONFETTI WE HAD AT HOME. THE PILLOW IS A GRAHAM CRACKER COVERED IN FONDANT AND THE HEADBOARD IS GINGERBREAD. THE TOYS WERE PURCHSASED AT WALMART (2 FIGURES FOR $7).

I AM GOING TO MAKE THIS CAKE AGAIN BECAUSE THIS WAS JUST A PRACTICE RUN (I CAN’T COOK). I HOPE YALL LIKE IT. I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW EASY IT IS TO USE FONDANT AND HOW FLEXIBLE IT IS; YOU JUST GOTTA WORK WITH IT. MY ADVICE IS TO JUST HAVE FUN AND DONT TRY TOO HARD. IT WILL COME OUT GREAT. LIKE I SAID, IM NO THE BAKING OR COOKING TYPE, BUT WE KNOW HOW FAR WE GO WHEN WE HAVE KIDS. HE LOVED THIS CAKE AND ASKED ME TO PUT A TV IN IT. =)

DECORATING TOOK ABOUT 50 MINS. IT WAS EASY AND I THINK THATS BECAUSE I WAS PREPARED AND PLANNED IT OUT CAREFULLY. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS AND I AM THANKFUL FOR THIS WEBSITE AND EVERYONE WHO MADE TOY STORY CAKES AND SUBMITTED THEM HERE; I USED A LITTLE SOMETHING FROM ALL THE OTHER CAKES AND LEARNED HOW TO MAKE FONDANT AND GINGERBREAD FROM YOUTUBE VIDEOS. GOOD LUCK MAKING YOUR CAKE AND THANKS FOR READING THIS. GOD BLESS YALL.

  1. Lovely cake! I will try to do it for my son, next week. BTW, is that a “mate” next to the sink?
Well done and thanks for posting how to do it!
