Homemade Toyota Car Birthday Cake
This Toyota Car Birthday Cake was my first ever 3d cake and I was so nervous while doing it.
I made this cake for my husband's 30th birthday. He recently bought a Toyota Axio and I thought it would be fun to surprise him with a cake of that exact car.
I made it with chocolate cake and chocolate frosting. And I used homemade marshmallow fondant. To get that dark midnight blue I painted the blue color on top of the white fondant. I used the liquid coloring and had to coat it twice to get the exact color.
I used a 8x12 cake pan and used 3 cakes to make this car. Cake was 15 inches long and 6 inches wide. It was 4.5 inches high.
I scaled down the exact measurements of the real car to make it more realistic and the final result came out pretty well.
My husband loved the cake and he didn’t even want to cut the cake. My 2 year old son thought it was a toy car and he was very upset that I didn’t let him play with it. But in the end I let him destroy it by poking his finger all over the car. He loved it.
