Homemade Treasure Chest Cake

I made this treasure chest cake from 2 chocolate cakes baked in a loaf tin. Two thirds of the mixture for the base and 1/3 for the lid. The rise in the cake keeps the lid open and it's secured by toothpicks at the back.

I decorated it with chocolate icing and chocolate coins and sweets. The driftwood sign is made from marzipan and the sand is crushed cookies.
