Cool Homemade Twilight Saga Cake

I made this Twilight Saga Cake for my niece’s 15th birthday. I made two sheet cakes to make the bottom tier. I measured a ten inch square from the two sheet cakes then put the two pieces I had left together so the bottom tier is three layers.

The top layer is a small spring-form pan size. I split it to make two layers. I covered the bottom layer with white marshmallow fondant. The top tier is covered in black fondant and I cut black fondant to surround the bottom white tier. I used black fondant to make the checkerboard. I then used red fondant to make the ribbon.

I bought a faux apple and the chess pieces I bought from a dollar store and painted one red. The flower is fake and I added red to give it the right look.
