Homemade Volcano Cake

The volcano cake was for 50th Birthday. We were looking to do Tropical Theme, what better than a Volcano Island.

I used different sizes of round yellow cake, 5 layers. For frosting I used butter cream. Cake crumbs for racks and gel for lava.

The lava looks great. How did you do it exactly. I'm trying to do something similar for my nephew.
