Homemade Wall E Birthday Cake

Homemade Wall E Birthday Cake

My son asked me for a 3D Wall E birthday cake for his 6th birthday. I looked around for different ideas and then I took a shot at it. Well, here it is.

His eyes are made of Styrofoam which I cut out very carefully around the picture of his eyes. His arms are made of cardboard that I painted. His neck is some pieces of pipe that I bought at the local hardware store. The body itself is a 3 layer cake.

I made his feet out of cake and then used cut up chocolate wafers to make them look "tractor like". I did have to use toothpicks to keep the arms in place. I thought this cake was going to be impossible to make but, it really wasn't that hard at all and my son told me I was the coolest mom ever. He is already plotting his cake for next year. Hope you like my cake.

I love this cake and might try to do something like it for my son's bday in November.

Where did you get the picture of Wall E's eyes?

Thanks!
