Homemade Warty Toad Cake
This Warty Toad Cake was a special request cake that I made yesterday. It is all cake, the legs are German chocolate, and the body is alternating layers of German chocolate and dark chocolate cake with fudge filling. I attached the legs with dowel rods and the eyes with toothpicks. The eyes themselves are twinkies, cut in half and decorated with buttercream and fudge icing.
I covered the entire cake with a vanilla almond homemade buttercream and embellished it with buttercream and fudge warts! The tongue was simply nice placed fruit by the foot. I had a great time making this cake and I think it turned out terrific!
