Coolest Waterfall Cake

I have been making homemade cakes for about a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed it! This homemade waterfall cake was for my bridal shower which was a Luau theme. I got the idea from this site and decided that I really didn’t want all the palm trees, monkeys and hula girls since I thought that it was more on the childish side. I really loved the idea of the waterfall though and the hibiscus.

I used a 10” and 6” round cake. The top tier was a lemon cake with a raspberry filling. The bottom tier was a white cake with chocolate ganache. Both were covered in buttercream. I used fondant for the hibiscus and used the large flower cutout from the Wilton rose collection. I thinned the flowers with the ball tool and then set them in various cookie cutters to dry. Once dry, I used white pearl dust diluted in vodka and painted the shimmer on the flowers.

The waterfall was fondant painted with the pearl dust and the rocks were chocolate (found these at Walmart).
