This Wedding Bells cake is the cake that I made for my co-worker’s wedding party. I used a few different techniques and designs that I’ve never tried before and I was pretty happy with the results. I had to use 4 slab cakes for this. One half was a lemon filling and the other half was filled with whipped icing and fresh sliced strawberries.

I didn’t have a pan large enough to make this size cake, so I had to make two double layer 8″ x 11″ slab cakes and just put them together. So that’s why it kind-of has an “open book” look to it. I hope to see more wedding cake ideas in this section!
