Wedding Dress Cake
This wedding dress cake was made to look like the brides dress. I started out by baking three french vanilla half sheet cakes. I then cut the cake to form layers, this cake was four layers with raspberry filling between each of the layers.
The first two 1/2 sheets where stacked on top of each other with the last one being cut in half and then stacked to add to the bottom of the dress. I then cut out the shape saving pieces from the top of the cake to add to the bottom of the dress to give it a little flair.
I frosted this with butter cream frosting, then did the detail with gray frosting. After the frosting had set to harden a little I used silver Highlighter and painted over the grey frosting with a paint brush adding silver dragee as I went along. I also made a Tuxedo cake to go with this and a small 6 inch round cake.
