Homemade Wild Turkey Bottle Cake
I made this Wild Turkey Bottle Cake for my boyfriend's 21st birthday.
First, I made two of his favorite box-cakes in rectangular pans. I let them cool and laid them side-by-side longways next to each other. I cut the second cake in the shape of the neck of the bottle so that the whole thing looked like a big bottle.
Icing it was the tricky part. I bought plenty of chocolate icing, white icing, a tube of black icing, icing coloring (food coloring works too), and pastry bags with nozzles. I printed the picture of the bottle off of the internet so I could copy the design. I used brown icing for the alcohol part mixed with some red icing coloring to give it the reddish-brown color. I continued to mix other icing and coloring to get the colors I wanted for the rest of the bottle. I used pastry bags for the writing and the turkey.
You can do this same thing for any alcohol or beer, I just chose this because it was his favorite.
