At the time my son Caleb turned two years old, he was crazy about the Nick Jr. TV show “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” He really wanted a Wubbzy party (which is just not sold at Party City! I had to do some searching, but was able to find lots of Wubbzy party supplies online.)
For Caleb’s Wow Wow Wubbzy Cake, I baked a 12×18 sheet cake and frosted it using white buttercream icing. Then I took a picture of Wubbzy that I had printed from their website and blown up, set it up right in front of me, and tried to copy it as best that I could onto the cake. I outlined Wubbzy with black frosting, then had him hold Caleb’s two candles- one in each hand.
Lastly, I added Caleb’s name and edged the cake with some color. I am kind of a perfectionist, and this Wubbzy wasn’t exactly perfect. But it was close enough to make my son very happy on his birthday, and he told everyone about “MY Wow Wow cake!” for many months to follow.
