Homemade Yo Gabba Gabba Brobee Birthday Cake
I used two 13x9 slab cakes, one chocolate and the other white for this Yo Gabba Gabba Brobee Birthday Cake (why not?!) and a large box to display it on, covered in foil.
The first cake was just placed in the middle of the box and the other slab cake I cut equally down the middle, until most of the way down but reserved a big enough piece intact for the horns. I used assorted pieces here and there for proportion.. the leftover pieces from the arm trimmings I used to extend his feet. I cut marshmallow for his eyes.
It took a long time to tint the icing appropriately. But it was fun and a labour of love. I used dark chocolate for his distinctive Brobee features but realized afterward I should have melted some and used it piped instead of whole chips, for a better look. Next time.
Brobee tastes good!
This is one time when you CAN bite your friends!
