Curious George
I made this cake from ideas on the coolest birthday cakes website. I use two boxed cake mixes since they didn't rise much. I iced two rectangular cakes with buttercream icing using clear vanilla for the white look and chocolate buttercream between the cakes.
I used a toothpick to scratch on the outline of George from a "how to draw George" on the PBSkids website. Then I piped him on and filled in with chocolate buttercream frosting. To make his face coloring, I crushed a few graham crackers and very carefully distributed it on the cake with a 1/4 teaspoon and moved it around with a toothpick to make a very thin layer. It didn't take as long as you would think, I am happy to report. My 4 year old son loved it.
