I made this Dog Cake for my son's 3rd birthday. He is really into DOG for the moment so he really insisted to make that for him. I went through a lot of photos that I found on the internet and I must say that this page was really inspirational. In the end I came up with this design. Everyone was amazed of how wonderful it turned out.
As for the cake, my boy is a very picky eater so I had to make a recipe that I knew he would actually eat. I made both the layers and the fillings with chocolate flavor.
The layers are baked in a rectangular sheet and then shaped according to a drawing that I downloaded from the web. I decorated the cake with whipped cream; I only added colorings to it to achieve the desired colors.
My birthday cake was a buttercake. I didn't use any other complex type of icing, I just used buttercream for the whole thing. It was pretty simple to make.
I love puppies a lot! So I thought of making a homemade dalmatian puppy birthday cake. Many people thought the white part was fondant, but it wasn't. It is a simple cake to make, don't hesitate.
I used the proper nozzles to draw out the ball, which the puppy was holding. It came out way cuter than I expected it to be, everyone loved it so much. It was a great experience and it wasn't even hard, it was a piece of cake!:)
i made this for my daughters birthday, i made the cake in a roasting tin, i covered it with red roll out icing.for the dogs i drew then cut out in cardboard then used as a template to cut out the dogs from white icing. i could not find white ribbon with black patches so i bought white and drew on with felt tip pen.
I traced this image onto wax paper with black icing for this Dalmatian Birthday Cake. Then filled it in with the colors I selected. When I was finished I stuck the icing design in the freezer to stiffen up, then placed it on the cake and peeled off the wax paper.
