Diego Jungle Cake

by Molly K
(Redwood City, CA)

This is the first birthday cake I baked. It's for my son's 4th Birthday and It's also a trial cake. It seemed successful and I will make the real thing next week, at a grander scale!

I used a 13x9" cake pan for the bottom layer and one 9" round tin for the waterfall levels. I cut the round cake into 3 pieces and placed them in the corner and had some leftover. I used white frosting and colored them blue & green. Some parts of the cake I used chocolate frosting. I had mini m&ms line the betweens of the colors. Glico Pocky chocolate sticks for the front of the cake. I used a Lego set Diego & Jaguar and animals and trees from my son's toys sets to decorate the cake. The road is made of crushed Ritz crackers. I'm proud of my first attempt in decorating a cake!
