Disney Fairies

This was the most recent cake that I have made. I found the figures online, like most cakes, and followed the directions that came with the cake toppers as well as made a few adjustments myself. Using a regular sheet cake we created three levels, again making it interesting to look at as well as whimsical. Gummy butterflies were a great touch that really set a tone about the cake itself. We used bright colors on the decorative icing to compliment the color of the base. While the 'avacado' color of the cake was dull, the bright green and pink made it pop and go well with the bright colors of the figures themselves. A cool feature of this cake is the river that looks great with the contrasting colors of white, light blue, and the dark blue that was just dye. This cake was easy to put together and decorate, in only about an hour.
